Davide Bardi (2002) is a computer musician and live electronics performer. He began his studies in electronic music with Giorgio Sancristoforo and Roberto Di Filippo. He graduated with honors in Electronic Music from the Conservatorio di Milano under the guidance of Davide Gagliardi, Andrea Vigani, and Massimo Marchi, where he also studied Composition in the preparatory course with Federico Gardella. He is currently completing a master’s degree in electronic music at the same institution.

His artistic activity ranges from solo performances to collaborations with ensembles and festivals. In 2022 he appeared as a solo live electronics performer in a concert produced with the Teatro Grande di Brescia for the Festa dell’Opera. He has also collaborated with Divertimento Ensemble, Dedalo Ensemble, and others. He has performed works on several occasions by Seth Shafer, Sylvian Devaux, Maurizio Azzan, Daniela Fantechi, Agostino Di Scipio, Luciano Berio, Ivan Fedele, Richard Barrett, Valerio Sannicandro, John Zorn, Alvin Lucier, and others.

Since 2022 he has been part of the Laptop Orchestra of the Conservatorio di Milano (MLOrk), participating in international productions such as Fuori Salone 2023–24, Milano Digital Week, and AudioMostly. In 2023 he attended the Sound and Music Computing course at the Accademia Chigiana with Alvise Vidolin, also working with the GRM team.

In 2024 he collaborated with the Ravenna Festival on the project Chiamata alle arti, designing the sound for an installation and performing in duo with cellist Michele Marco Rossi. In the same year he co-founded the Multimodus Duo with Marco Rotondella, dedicated to the development of new multimedia chamber repertoire. He was also a finalist for the Conservatorio di Milano Prize together with violinist Ella Biscari, presenting a program for violin and live electronics.

He’s member of Sistema Ensemble and Azione_Improvvisa.

His research interests focus on developing live interaction systems between humans and computers to explore new performative and compositional paradigms. He is also interested in recursive and non-linear systems for the creation of innovative digital signal processing techniques.
